The “talking snake” reference comes from Bill Maher and his new movie, Religulous, so this is something we will all likely hear more about as people see the movie. I’ve also I’ve heard Bill mention that specific phrase on some of talk shows he has been on over the past few months as he has been promoting his movie. I imagine a lot of skeptics like repeating such simple objectives and not taking the time to think that there may be more to it – thanks for your timely explanation that can be used to engage such people if they wish to discuss it more than simply repeating some smart sounding second hand objective.
